Visualization and positive affirmations on a mountain bike work! But can we get too confident on trails and features which may lead to charging forward for the wrong reasons?
A rollercoaster of a week and a packed episode! Dan & Sage discuss the results of their visualization practice on rides this past week. Lots of stoke and success on jumps and slabs. Until Dan took a nasty fall off a slab (he's OK!). The fellas address the right and wrong reasons to commit to a difficult or scary feature.
Dan discusses the proper way to ride a slab, what he did wrong on the bike and in his mindset approach. Sage discusses intuition vs. ego and listening to and honoring the signals your body is giving you. Every failure is an opportunity to learn! Visualization is an essential tool for mastering new features & skills on your mountain bike. If you are struggling with a difficult feature at your trails or bike park, the first step in this technique is to envision yourself doing it.
